Frank Morese - President/Executive Consultant

Frank Morese has over 25 years experience in wireless networking chips & technology for the emerging entertainment home networking market. He has a rare mixture of digital, RF, hardware and software knowledge with the ability to optimize them into innovative products for the consumer electronics market.

He is a proactive leader who thrives on achieving success in an empowered team oriented environment with proven track record of transforming ailing divisions into high performing, profitable enterprises.

As an entrepreneur, he has a keen marketing insight into global emerging markets with a proven record in developing successful market strategies, identifying new market opportunities, and creating/executing tactical sales plans in start-up situations. His strong industry contacts bring a great deal of credibility to the organization, and will facilitate strong strategic alliances. Morese has international business and acquisitions analysis in technology environment background.

Morese focused a great part of his recent career on the entertainment sector of the wireless home networking market pioneering in developing innovative home networking solutions, storing and streaming entertainment content among PCs, TVs, stereos, AVR/PVR and speakers/headsets. He has managed a diverse software and silicon product portfolio providing QoS, embedded software and silicon solutions for products such as cable/DSL modems, residential gateways, media centers, access points, media adapters, and TiVo Systems.

He worked on embedded software platforms that scaled from home networking to enterprise hotspots that were compatible with digital rights management software platforms for secure delivery of media content to any device. He has knowledge of wireless networking and mobile standards (GSM, GPRS, 3GPP, WCDMA, WLAN, WPAN, CDMA2000, Bluetooth, WiFi 802.11, WiMax, GPS and UWB).

His experience includes mobile cellular, wireless access, wireless cable TV, Satellite digital TV, broadband access technologies, cable/set top boxes, mobile computing and consumer electronics.

Morese over his carrier has engaged with industry leaders such as Nokia, Samsung, Sony, Alcatel, Nortel, Nintendo, Panasonic, NEC, Siemens, AOL/Time Warner, Direct TV, Intel, Microsoft, TiVo, Hughes Direct TV, Barco, JVC, Zenith, Onkyo, Denon, Sampo, Monivision, Pioneer, Kenwood, Marantz, Philips, Hitachi, Sharp, Sonos and LG with extensive international experience in Europe, Asia and Japan.

In his senior positions Morese worked in partnership with the management team to architect and implement the fundamental go-to-market model, cultivate and develop alliances with key customers, and drive the organization to develop and produce a constant stream of innovative and cost-effective wireless products.

Morese received his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Northeastern University in 1978. He also took graduate studies in Strategic Marketing at Worchester Polytechnic Institute, Worchester, MA. and Finance and Accounting at Wharton School of Finance, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA.

 

Didier Lacroix - Executive Consultant

Mr Didier Lacroix has over 20 years experience in MEMS, EDA, Semiconductor, and Professional Services. Mr. Lacroix had senior business development roles in high profile startups (Discera, MEMScAP) and public companies (Synopsys, Cadence). Over the years, Mr. Lacroix brought to market various products including: MEMS-based products; Software solutions for the telecom (SONET/SDH, IP, ATM) markets; Design IP and Software for the Wireless Market (2G, 2.5G, 3G); Customized EDA software, design methodology and hardware solutions.

Prior to Sedona, Mr. Lacroix was the CEO and main business development executive for Discera Inc. Mr. Lacroix led Discera from a very early technology stage to initial customer orders and product revenue raising $12M in Series B funding. Under Mr. Lacroix’ leadership, Discera is credited for being the first company to bring to market the world smallest Silicon MEMS based oscillator as a replacement to Quartz-crystal products.

Prior to joining Discera in 2002, Mr. Lacroix was Vice President and General Manager of the Wireless business unit at MEMScAP where he had overall worldwide P&L responsibility for the development and licensing of RF-MEMS technology to CMOS manufacturers, MEMS foundries, and RFIC chipset design companies. Previously, Mr. Lacroix was a Group Director for Synopsys. Mr. Lacroix had P&L responsibilities and was a major contributor to the services group business growth from $2M to more than $80M forging key relationships with major customers in North America and Asia. Prior to Synopsys, Mr. Lacroix held a variety of senior management roles at Cadence Design Systems playing key roles in the growth of their services organization.

Mr. Lacroix holds a Diplôme d'Ingénieur from ESIEE, in France, and an MSEE from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech).

 

Heidi Groshelle - Media Consultant

Heidi Groshelle has over 25 years in the public relations and marketing communications field. Her experience extends into many industries, from arts and entertainment to emerging high technology.

Most recently, Heidi was a senior account manager with Trainer Communications where she was responsible for positioning clients for success and generating coverage in top-tier outlets including CNN,
CNet, BusinessWeek, Forrester Research, Gartner Group, The Wall Street Journal and numerous trade publications. In 1997, Heidi introduced the first plasma flat-screen televisions in the U.S., working closely with Fujitsu, Hammacher Schlemmer, and Starbucks.

Heidi began her career publicizing arts and entertainment professionals in Los Angeles at California Institute of the Arts. Soon thereafter, she moved into film and video promotion and production as an integral part of the marketing team for One Pass Film & Video, a leading San Francisco production company. Later Heidi co-founded and was executive VP of a San Francisco-based television commercial production company, G9 Productions, the producers of Emmy Award winning commercials, trailers, and product roll-out features. She has also worked closely with Landis Communications to build brand awareness and market share for consumer-focused products and organizations.

Heidi currently serves on the board of the Sacramento Association of IPv6 Adopters, an organization focused on improving the quality and utility of the Internet. As a San Francisco native, Heidi believes in giving back to the community. She has served on the board of directors of Compass Community Services (formerly Travelers' Aid) a social service agency that provides counseling, housing, and rehabilitation services to families below the poverty level. She has also established a volunteer program to feed homeless families in San Francisco, which is now in its 13th year of operations.

Heidi's passions also include creating raku (a Japanese technique of ceramic firing) and high-fired pieces of art.
